- 10:00 am, arrival in Matera, free time.
- Meeting in Piazza Vittorio Veneto, in front of the Ferdinandea Fountain.
- 2.00pm, the bus will leave from the bus stop Viale Aldo Moro, 16, Matera – in front of Banca Mediolanum.
- Rientro a Bari (15:00 circa).
Maximum punctuality is recommended, the bus cannot wait beyond the indicated times!

📍 Sassi di Matera
The symbol of the city.
📍 Palombaro lungo
Located in Piazza Vittorio Veneto, it was once used to collect rainwater. It is an impressive feat of engineering not to be missed.
📍 Belvedere Luigi Guerricchio o dei “Tre Archi”
Panoramic terrace with portico (considered by many to be the best observation point in the city); from here you can admire the tangle of lanes of Sasso Barisano.
📍 Cathedral Basilica of Matera “Maria Santissima della Bruna”
It stands on the Civita hill, the highest part of the historic center. It offers an unparalleled view of the Sassi and houses splendid frescoes and decorations.
📍 Sasso Caveoso
A tangle of alleys, stairways and houses dug into the rock, where time seems to have stopped.
📍 Casa Grotta (paid entry)
A real cave house, inhabited until the 1950s, where you can discover how the Matera families lived. The furniture is original and tells of the daily life of the past.
📍 Belvedere Piazzetta Pascoli
One of the best panoramic points of the historic centre, it is the perfect place to take photos and admire the city in all its splendor.

One of the main streets of the historic center of Matera, perfect for a relaxing walk among craft shops, souvenirs and cafes.
