The city of a hundred districts
Monopoli is a town that emanates positivity, which transmits serenity and which recharges the soul.
City of medieval origin, it overlooks the sea and is surrounded by high walls. The old town and the port are the pride of the city: jewels of popular architecture together with sumptuous religious buildings and splendid historic palaces. It is Porta Vecchia, bordered by the walls, to introduce the old part of the city, stretching along the Adriatic and dominated by the Castle of Carlo V, a symbolic monument of the city.
Famous for its nightlife and fine food, Monopoli is the ideal destination for young people, thanks also to the many sandy beaches and the splendid sea.
The crystal waters make the observer's eyes charmed in front of an amazing panorama with a thousand shades of green and blue.
In Monopoli there are several coves not easy to find for a tourist. Some, however, are easily accessible by following the directions of the navigation system.
Also called the town of a hundred districts, it has a countryside divided into various places that tell, in their names, the presence of a disappeared church, a ruined farm or that of a majestic tree that designed its history.
Nearby, easily accessible, we find some places of great tourist interest such as Polignano a Mare, Alberobello, Castellana Grotte and Ostuni.
A dream sea and a historic center rich in art and history make Monopoli one of the most beautiful towns on the Adriatic.
